The coordinators of Samaritan Breakfast would like to extend a
warm thank you to several folks. To Dee+, Ashley Garrett,
Betty Dickey and the Men's Breakfast for supplying fruit for the
first through fourth weeks, respectively. To Nancy Bole and
Linda Jeanne Harrill who provide bread each week, and occasionally
a few other items. To the Gustafson's for providing us with
two dozen eggs each week ready to serve. To Reba Beasley,
who though generally home bound, manages to provide us with a loaf
of bread, a dozen eggs, and fruit
cups most every week. To Stephanie Williams for all
the many staple items that she provides us (such as individual
butter and jelly, and sliced cheese to name just a few). To
Mary Gregory who visits Costco on our behalf and picks up biscuits
and some other items for us. To those of you who contribute
monetarily which allows us to acquire the disposables (bags,
utensils, etc). Your gifts help Thursday
mornings so much more relaxed and enjoyable for those of us
who show up bright and early to prepare the bags.
Our reputation for providing a good, nutritious breakfast, and our
smiling dispositions at 8:00
in the morning is apparently spreading. Just two months ago
we had to increase our breakfasts from 50 to 60. This week
we had to make an extra five bags before we could go to Grace of
God and we will need to make 65 bags next week. This is a mixed
blessing. We are blessed that the people who are in
need are finding us, and we are saddened that there are this many
people hungry in our county. We are blessed that so many of
you are willing to step forward to help us. We are concerned
that the growing number of people needing to be fed is going to be
a burden on those who are already providing food. What would
help with this is if we could count on a few more people to help.
If you could provide 30 pieces of fruit one week a month, that
would reduce the burden of those who are currently providing
fruit. If you could donate a dozen eggs a week, or even a
dozen eggs one week a month that would help. Right now we
have three dozen being provided regularly, and need now six dozen
each week. If you can help please let Susan Keith, Gerry
Roberts or Josephine Conn know what you can bring and when.
With a schedule we know what to expect and when we need to
supplement it, and you know when to bring your offering. I know
that there are some of you who have already said that you were
willing to help. Please let us get you on a schedule of some
sort so that we know what to expect and so that we don't have an
abundance one week and a deficiency the next.
Thank you so much for seeing Christ in all the people of Rutherford
County and reaching out in this manner.

Prayer Requests
There are blue cards for requesting prayers in the pew
racks and in the back of the church. There is a large blue box in
the back of the church in which you can place your requests for prayer.
These requests are picked up by the Daughters of the King and will be
included in their prayers for a month. If you wish, they will also
be added to the Prayers of the People read each Sunday.

Please donate to Yokefellow! Food
item most needed: Canned meat (no tuna). May thru August.
There is a basket in the back of the church.
THANKS!!
