Dear Rev. Dee and St. Francis Friends -

Thank you so much for hosting us during April.  We always enjoy being with you all, and we were so encouraged by your love and support.  Thank you also for the special gift of $250 and for all the cereal.  We were especially touched by your thoughtfulness in buying our favorite foods. :)  Thank you for all you do for us!

Love,

Daniel, Rachel, Hannah and Baby

Stop Hunger Now's Meal Packaging Program is a volunteer-based effort through which participants package high protein, dehydrated meals for use in crisis situations.  Each package provides a reasonable serving for six and costs approximately 25 cents to make.  For additional information about the program go to www.stophungernow.org, or come by the office to look at the flier that Kathryn has.

The Rutherfordton Churches are sponsoring a meal packaging date.  We will meet at the First United Methodist Church on Pentecost Sunday (May 23) at 2:00 p.m. to package meals.  The program believes that a team of 40 volunteers can package 10,000 meals in just two hours.  If you can, please assist in the project by showing up at the Methodist Church to help members of all the downtown churches to package meals.
