Happy 2010!

We all start off the New Year with resolutions which are usually discarded by the end of the month of January. This year, let us be serious about taking better care of ourselves: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Bishop Taylor has just appointed me as the chair of a new commission, The Diocesan Commission on Health. Because of this, you will be hearing of challenges throughout the year for us to be healthier in all aspects of our lives! The first is to challenge you all to get fit by walking together.

We will walk indoors in the Parish House as many afternoons as you want. If you are interested, meet in the parish house at 4pm and walk your way to health by following a fun DVD.  Please join me starting Monday, January 4, 2010. It’s so much more fun to get fit with others!

Never forget the most important resolution for the New Year: Always keep the name of Jesus on your lips in prayer and in your hearts.

 Let us begin our New Year together at St. Francis singing and rejoicing in the love of Christ.

In Christ’s love and grace,

Dee+

{Editor's Note:  If you would like to walk to health in the Parish House in the afternoon please call the Parish Office so that we know of your interest.}

New Year's Eve Service

The attendance may have been small at the New Year's Eve service, but those who attended felt that they had brought in the New Year well with the readings and prayers that make up the New Year's Eve service, after which they rang in the New Year with great vigor.

Epiphany Play

Epiphany Play will be presented by the children of St. Francis next Sunday (January 10) at the 10:30 service.
