EVERY
MEMBER CANVASS
Beginning in August, St.
Francis will once again carry out the Every Member Canvass.
A team of your fellow
parishioners has been recruited for this effort, which is being done for
the third straight year.
The goal is to give everyone a
chance to discuss the church and its programs, provide a forum for ideas
and concerns about the church and the continuous support of St. Francis.
Members of this team will meet
with church families and bring a list of opportunities for service
within the church and a pledge card. Each parishioner is being asked to
prayerfully consider how he or she may return some of their valuable
time, talent and treasure for God’s work.
Please remember that what you
decide will always remain confidential and please welcome your fellow
parishioner when you are called to arrange a meeting. These meetings
generally take just a few minutes. Thanks for your participation in this
important project.

We had 25 kids participate and study Joseph's journey through ancient
Egypt. Thanks to all that volunteered and more importantly to all
that attended!

Woof-Woof Wimper

Now that the good people of Samaritan breakfast has remembered that its
clients have dogs and cats too, the Junior Daughters are in need of dog
food. For anyone who is not aware of what the JDOK is doing.
They repackage dog and cat food into gallon zip lock bags and provide
those bags to Meals on Wheels for their clients who have pets, Grace of
God Rescue Mission and now clients of Samaritan Breakfast. Dry dog
and cat food is needed regularly. Right now we are especially
short of dog food.

Prayer Requests
There are blue cards for requesting prayers in the pew
racks and in the back of the church. There is a large blue box in
the back of the church in which you can place your requests for prayer.
These requests are picked up by the Daughters of the King and will be
included in their prayers for a month. If you wish, they will also
be added to the Prayers of the People read each Sunday.
